Where did the Snacks go?

Writer: MariekeMarieke

Often, we buy snacks or make them and they're gone faster than we could even put them back in the fridge or pantry. So what can you do about that? We're going to show you some ways to preserve your snacks, so you can savor them.

Disclaimer: These tips are not meant to be for weight loss, their main purpose is so you don't have to watch all your quarantine snacks disappear within a day!

Are you just bored?

Often we eat because we are just bored, so it helps when you're about to reach for the cookie jar to ask yourself "am I hungry or just bored?". If the answer is hungry, go ahead, but if you are really just bored, maybe try to find a different activity, that won't risk running out of Snacks when you actually need them.

Don't take the whole box with you.

When getting a snack, what I often do is, take the whole box with me in case I want more later, is that smart? No. So instead, you could just take the amount you are actually craving and leave the rest in the kitchen, so if you want more you actually have to put effort into it, by getting up and going into the kitchen.

Water, water, water.

Sometimes, we might feel snackish because of an Instagram Food Inspiration post we just saw while scrolling down the endless timeline. Guess what? 90 percent of the time this is just your brain playing tricks on you. So next time this snacky feeling comes up, maybe try having a glass of water to give your body a "reward".

We hope you enjoyed these tips, let us know if any of them helped or if you already ran out of snacks! But don't worry, we will have more Snack recipes coming up this week. #staysafe #stayhealthy
