Bored? Here's what you can do!

Writer: MariekeMarieke

Streets are empty, stores and restaurants are closed, everyone is staying at home, so what can you do? I know a lot of people are currently bored out of their mind, not knowing what to do with themselves, maybe even feeling a loss of purpose. So we have gathered some ideas to make your daily routine more interesting and exciting!

First, is an obvious one (your mom probably already told you this):

Read a Book

You probably have a stack of books lying around in your room, that you have always wanted to read but never had the time to. Guess what, now you have plenty! And if you are not much of a reader, maybe try listening to an audio book (Spotify and Amazon Prime offer these as well). In case you do not have a book laying around that you want to read, here are some recommendations (since Amazon is not shut down, and you are still able to order and/or buy E-Books):

Try out a new Recipe

Cooking and Baking is something that especially I like to do, when I have way too much free time or want to distract myself from reality for a bit. Now is the perfect time to try out one of the recipes on our blog, and if none of these look like your cup of tea, make sure to check out Pinterest, they have an endless amount of recipes for you to try.

Work Out

Since going to the gym or meeting up with your friends for a quick round of basketball is not really an option right now, maybe try a fun home work out. A bit of movement will help to keep you fit during #socialdistancing and will also help your body to relief stress by releasing endorphins! Here is a list of quick workouts (on YouTube) that you could follow for a sweat session...

Declutter your Phone

I just recently saw a video by Matt D'Avella about the benefits of a digital clean up. We take so many photos and screenshots on a daily basis that our phones and laptops are packed with information that we won't need in the future, so why not take the time now in order to clean out your camera roll and only leave space for the moments which are actually worth remembering.

Last but not least, hang in there and stay safe. #flattenthecurve #socialdistancing
